The 3 main reveals featured at this year’s Hasbro Pulse con consisted of the Lightning Collection Master Morpher, Lightning Collection Omega Rangers 4-Pack, and Simon Bennett sneak preview into Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. The event hosted by Hasbro’s Emily and Jordan also revealed charity donations and new minor additions to the US-only Selfie series 2.0, including options for new beards and adding glasses. Although the event wasn’t a potent line-up, some highlighted releases include Megazord Slippers from Fun.com, Super 7’s Ultimate wave that consists of Glow-in-the-Dark Green Ranger, Bulk and Skull figures, and the Black-gold version of the Mighty Megazord.

Simon Bennett’s Sneak Preview Suggests Powerful Last Season

Hasbro Pulse Con 2023 featured Simon Bennett as he gave fans a sneak preview clip of the upcoming 30th Season, Power Rangers Cosmic Fury. The clip featured the Dino Fury Rangers after their 2nd Season fighting all of Lord Zedd’s army, along with help from the Morphin Masters. The clip also featured a dynamic use of original fight scenes, high-powered combat effects, and a dynamic use of Drone-based camera shots. As the executive director dislikes spoilers, this could suggest each episode is filled with momentous events that could spoil the run.

The revealed clip also features a homage to Season 3 of Mighty Morphin with the planet Zordnia, which was the home to the ancient Zords. These Zords were renamed the Shogun Zords when reclaimed by the Rangers from Rita and Lord Zedd. The clip and location also perfectly link to previous teasers, such as Mick reuniting with the team and getting caught up on past events. Fans won’t have to wait long as the entire Season drops on Netflix this Friday, revealing every episode and its contents.

The magnificent Lightning Collection Master Morpher was the greatest reveal featured during the Hasbro Pusle Con Power Rangers segment. Along with showing unique phases and lights depending on the Coin inserted, Emily also revealed Hasbro Pulse will be donating to the JED foundation in honor of JDF. The release highlighted the grand display with a coin holder compartment, along with elegant shiny gold plating and Die-cast coins. The reveal also highlighted the contributions of Jason David Frank as the late legendary Ranger was revealed to have pushed for the release and recorded new special lines for the toy.

Lightning Collection Omega Rangers 4-Pack Insanity

The Lightning Collection features another comic-exclusive line-up of characters to the collection as the Omega Rangers 4-pack includes Jason, Trini, Zack, and Kiya from the Boom! Studios release. The Rangers originating from the Necessary Evil comic arc have been brought to life by Jordan and the team, presenting the full complete look of each Ranger. The Rangers will each feature their unique weapons and corresponding effects as part of the set but will exclude their head sculpts for the characters. Pre-orders are live in the US, but a listing has yet to be added for the UK site.

UK Aftermath: Distribution Nightmares for Fans

Although Hasbro Pulse is available in the UK, fans within the region have noticed some huge issues and a lack of fair treatment. This includes the recent releases for the Lightning Collection lines from the con, including the Omega Rangers 4-Pack and the Master Morpher. Fans have called out their confusion for unfair treatment as the US receives greater options and better service. This includes limited order numbers, product unavailability, and selling out of the product, with no hope of restocking.

The biggest upset comes from the Con-exclusive Omega Rangers 4-Pack that was revealed during the event. At present, there hasn’t been a listing for fans in the UK and the only way for a UK fan to obtain the release was via the competition. As an extra burn, the Lightning Collection Master Morpher had already sold out when the toy went live. Whereas the US could order up to 2 with more stock revealed from November 1, the UK was limited to 1 per customer with no word on another wave of stock.

Although there are many great releases, the Power Rangers segment felt a bit empty due to the knowledge fans might not hear about any more releases until the reboot is revealed. At the moment, a lot of fans are both delighted and sad about the revealed content from Hasbro Pulse Con 2023. However, big plans are building behind the scenes as we head into 2024. For now, the big Lightning Collection releases are the focus for fans as many find out ways to obtain these legendary releases before the hiatus of the line begins.

Long time fan of Tokusatsu fan since Power Rangers was first released in the 90s. Whereas most Superhero fans grew up with DC Comics and Marvel, my childhood was surrounded by releases from Saban Entertainment such as Beetleborgs, along with anime, and other various fads of the generation. Anime is also a great passion with Digimon, That Time I Was Reincarnated As A Slime, and Demon Slayer being significant favorites. It was the love of both Power Rangers and Digimon that led to the path of becoming a Senior Writer for The Illuminerdi.
