WandaVision is the most talked about series right now and there are hundreds of theories surrounding it. One mystery that still needs to unfold is the identity of the mysterious aerospace engineer, who was mentioned by Monica Rambeau as someone who can build them a vehicle to get into Westview.

Now let’s take a look at who this mysterious engineer potentially could be.

3 WandaVision Aerospace Engineer Reveals We Want

First off, it’s really unlikely that it’s just an unknown person there to help Monica. No, it’s almost guaranteed that it will be a recognizable appearance that will get fans excited. This is what Monica Rambeau herself, Teyonah Parris, had to say in an interview with comicbook.com:

“I can’t wait to see what y’all’s reaction is when you learn who the aerospace engineer is.”

Parris also suggested that some fans are close to figuring out:

“I feel like there are some really hardcore, intuitive fans who are doing very well with…there are some smart cookies, yeah.”

Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic

One of the widest spread and easily one of the most exciting WandaVision theories floating around the internet is that it’s none other than Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. He’s the first Marvel character that comes to mind when thinking about a space engineer.

Reed Richards Dark Reign WandaVision

We know that Marvel Studios is developing a Fantastic Four movie, which will be directed by the director of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man trilogy, Jon Watts. The earliest possible release date for it would be 2023, so filming will probably start sometime in the first half of next year. We might get early casting rumors at the end of 2021, but before that Marvel Studios would first need to find a screenwriter.

So is it possible, that we would see an already cast Reed Richards in WandaVision? Yes, it is. The best example for that is another upcoming Marvel Studios project: Blade. At San Diego Comic Con 2019, it was announced that Marvel Studios is developing a Blade movie starring Mahershala Ali. At this point the project has recently found it’s screenwriter and is currently looking for a director.

The point is, for almost two years we’ve only known that a Blade reboot is in the works, with Ali as the lead. However, that star power is keeping fans’ interest. So technically Marvel could reveal Reed Richards in WandaVision and end the episode, or series, with “Reed Richards will return”. Marvel would still have to cast the rest of the Fantastic Four in a regular casting process, but we would know that a Fantastic Four movie is indeed happening, with the newly cast actor as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic. The new Reed Richards would simply be the face of the Fantastic Four and it would spark increased excitement if fans actually knew the actor who is playing him.

WandaVision S.W.O.R.D. Headquarters SWORD

In WandaVision Episode 4 it was teased that S.W.O.R.D is missing astronauts after the Blip. Fans instantly recognized that this could potentially be Marvel’s first family. It certainly could be them, or some unknown astronauts, or what if it’s just three of the Fantastic Four: Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm? Leaving Monica to meet Reed, as he is working on a way to get them back. Fans would freak out to see Reed Richards in the MCU and we would be getting a glimpse of a starting point for the eventual movie..

While the theory is still pretty unlikely, it would be incredible if it turns out to actually be true.

Riri Williams/Ironheart

Ironheart WandaVision Riri Williams

It was announced on last year’s Disney Investors Day, that Marvel Studios is working on a Ironheart Disney+ series, starring Dominique Thorne in the titular role. In the comics, Riri Williams is an incredibly smart teenager, who builds her own Iron Man armor, with the help of Tony Stark’s A.I. This story will definitely be adapted for the upcoming series, but at this point, we don’t know if she has any connection to Tony Stark himself. That leads to questions about how she will get access to Stark’s technology in the MCU.

We know that S.W.O.R.D has access to this technology, as we have seen drones with the “Stark Technologies” logo used to try to see what is going on in Westview. Riri might have an internship at S.W.O.R.D and as she is a prodigy who could become the next Tony Stark, in terms of building and inventing in the MCU. So it’s not too big of a stretch to imagine that she would be able to build the vehicle that we’ve seen in various WandaVision spots. Despite the fact that she isn’t a aerospace engineer in the comics.

Yet this internship at S.W.O.R.D would perfectly set her up for her own series, while introducing Riri Williams to audiences who don’t know the character yet.

Talos/Talos’ Daughter

If we go from what we know in the MCU, Talos or his daughter, are unlikely yet plausible options. We only have previously seen Monica as a child in Captain Marvel and now we see her grown up and a lot must have happened in that span. From the audience’s viewpoint, Talos and his daughter are the only people that we know that Monica knows, who could potentially build such a high-tech vehicle. Or better said, we know that Talos might know Skrulls who could build it.

This is probably the most unlikely theory, but it features characters that we have seen before, so audiences might remember them from Captain Marvel. If we see them return, we also could get a glimpse at the upcoming Secret Invasion Disney+ series, which is something fans have wanted.

All these theories seem pretty unlikely, as we simply have no idea, but it’s fun to speculate and hopefully it won’t be that long until we get answers!
