A new reports highlights the title for this week’s episode of The Mandalorian, Chapter 13, “The Jedi”. Which in turn seems to point to the long-awaited debut of fan-favorite former Jedi Padawan, Ahsoka Tano.

This would make sense for a number of reasons including the fact that Dave Filoni wrote and directed the upcoming episode, which finds Mando searching for the Togruta. Murphy’s Multiverse sited the TV listings on OSN.com which is the website for the Orbit Showtime Network a Middle Eastern broadcast satellite provider.

The Jedi is Coming to The Mandalorian

The season two premiere of The Mandalorian is titled “Chapter Nine: The Marshall” and introduced Cobb Vanth from the “Aftermath” trilogy of Star Wars novels. The third episode of season two featured the live-action debut of Bo-Katan Kryze and is titled “The Heiress” which makes sense given that Bo-Katan is the former leader of Mandalore as was her late sister.

If the pattern follows and Murphy’s Multiverse is correct, then it would make sense that “The Jedi” would refer to Ahsoka Tano. And while Ahsoka left the Jedi order, Bo-Katan pointed Mando in her direction in his quest to find the Jedi to deliver The Child.

Ahsoka Tano The Clone Wars The Mandalorian

Ahsoka Tano first debuted as Anakin Skywalker’s Padawan in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars and grew to be a fan favorite during the subsequent animated series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Ahsoka grew from an immature and reckless Padawan into a brave and strong force wielder, who worked to help people.

Ahsoka also appeared in Star Wars: Rebels revealing that after the fall of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire she became a spy working for the Rebellion. Ahsoka was last seen in the Rebels finale seemingly joining Sabine in her quest to find Ezra Bridger so it will be interesting to see how she is introduced in The Mandalorian.

DAVE FILONI’S UPCOMING EPISODE OF THE MANDALORIAN

Dave Filoni wrote and directed the upcoming episode of The Mandalorian, so it has long been speculated by fans that this would be when Ahsoka Tano makes her live-action debut. Given the fact that Ahsoka was introduced in the animated film Star Wars: The Clone Wars, directed by Filoni, and further developed throughout The Clone Wars, in which he was supervising director. Along with the Rebels series, which Dave Filoni created and executive produced. Ahsoka Tano is one of the characters that fans immediately associate with Filoni, so it wouldn’t be a shock that he would be the one to welcome her into the live-action Star Wars world.

Ahsoka Tano Clone Wars

In the final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars which aired on Disney Plus earlier this year Ahsoka was an integral part of the story. The final season saw Ahsoka figuring out her life after leaving the Jedi order and helping Bo-Katan to defeat Darth Maul and take back the planet in The Siege of Mandalore, with the assistance of a number of clone troopers including Captain Rex.

Season two of The Mandalorian has expanded the Star Wars universe with not only the live-action debut of Bo-Katan and Cobb Vanth, but the return of notorious bounty hunter Boba Fett, who made a very brief appearance at the end of the premiere. Fans will know for sure on Friday, November 27, when Chapter 13 of The Mandalorian premieres, but if this episode does introduce Ahsoka Tano it will be exciting to learn what the Togruta has been up to and how she will react to Mando and The Child.
